Anse Intendance

South Mahé Indian Ocean Seychelles

Anse Intendance is perhaps Mahé's most dramatic beach—a 500-metre crescent of fine white sand backed by takamaka trees and framed by granite boulders. Unlike the calm lagoons of Seychelles' north-facing beaches, Intendance faces the open ocean with powerful surf. Hawksbill turtles nest here from October to February. The beach remains wild and undeveloped despite the nearby Banyan Tree resort.
