Sanyang Beach (also called Paradise Beach) offers a glimpse of traditional Gambian coastal life away from the tourist strip. This fishing village beach sees colourful pirogues landing catches each afternoon, with locals and visitors mixing in an authentic atmosphere. The beach is longer and less developed than Kololi, backed by palm groves and visited by fewer tourists. A handful of beach bars serve fresh fish and cold drinks with ocean views.
Located 35 km south of Banjul, Sanyang is accessible by taxi (negotiate fare) or local bush taxi. The village is about 3 km inland; the beach is reached via a track through the palms. Beach bars can arrange pick-up. Some visitors stay at the village's eco-lodges.

The nearby Tanji Bird Reserve and Bijol Islands are accessible for wildlife excursions. Sanyang also hosts a weekly "lumo" market.
Sanyang Beach is located in The Gambia, Western Coast Region. It sits on Atlantic Ocean and features golden sand beaches.
